The Shearwater X 22 Bay Flats Boat is on of the most versatile boats that has ever been designed. Wether you like bass or flats fishing, pulling the kids tubing or skiing, or just like boating this boat has everything you need to have the perfect boat. 2 Large Live/Release wells in the aft deck area provide plenty of space for the big catch or keeping live bait. 8 ft wide deck that you can walk all the way around. 2 Rod Locking rod lockers that can hold up to 10 rods each. Large Front Storage compartment for dry goods or life jackets. Anchor locker with cut out for trolling motor chord. Leaning Seat with storage compartment under seat and removable cooler. The console is very well layed out on the X 22 for navigational equipment to be able to flush mount. Easy to read switch panel with breakers. Grab rail with windhsield. Glove box storage for cell phones and keys. On the front of the console there is a removable cooler that is also used as a seat with cushions.  To access the batteries in the Shearwater X 22 they have made a door cut out behind the console cooler with two latches that can be easily removed for rigging or battery maintenance. In the rear of the boat there is a large rigging hatch to access all of the pumps and filters to maintain. Shearwater also outfits their boat with Hydraulic Jack Plates, Lenco flush mounted trim tabs. Optional equipment that can be installed: Swim Platform with pull out folding steps, Aft deck cushion package with removable backrest for extra seating, underwater led lights, stereo system, trolling motor system of your choice, gps system, vhf radio, collapsable bimini top with slide tracks so it can be stowed away see attached pics, Power pole or minnkota talon anchors, T-top, and any Yamaha or Mercury Outboard you would like. From what we have rigged here the numbers vary from the Mercury 250 Pro XS with a 24 pitch fury up to 68 MPH some say they have seen 70 MPH using the tempest 26. The Mercury 300 XS LTM we have rigged with a 28 pitch 4 blade ET Lightning and ran 76 MPH. The 300 Pro Verado turning a 4 blade bravo 1 24 pitch will run right at 74 MPH. Yamaha 250 SHO with a 23 Pitch Tempest runs right at 68 MPH.
